Developing the science of hydrogeology is a core part of the International Association of Hydrogeologists’s (IAH) mission. Better science will lead to better management of groundwater and the wider environment, through improved understanding, technologies and practices, and by informing policies.
IAH help identify and address gaps and emerging issues in hydrogeological science, and facilitate cross-disciplinary dialogue with other profession through its commissions, networks and science meetings and workshops. They also disseminate scientific outputs through its publications and promote education in schools, colleges and universities.
