“Cabo Verde, has a critical water shortage in terms of per capita availability, and this represents one of the main obstacles to its development. The islands are located in the Atlantic extension of the Sahara desert or the Sahel belt, which determines extremely low and irregular cycles of rain, at the same time the cause of several droughts, diseases, and famines that marked their history.”
