“Nigeria is a party to the United Nations Declaration of the Right to Water, which entitles everyone living in Nigeria to sufficient, affordable, safe and acceptable water for personal and domestic uses. Nigeria believes that Water is critical to the attainment of the economic and social prosperity, and is essential to survival. Sustainable Development is impossible without water. That is why Nigeria is in support of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and is committed to the survival of our shrinking Lake Chad Basin.”
